Jim Paisley is a native of this area, raised in Nescopeck and a graduate of Berwick Area High School.  Pastor Jim earned a bachelor’s degree in Bible from Valley Forge Christian College in 1993.  He majored in Youth Ministry and played on the baseball and soccer teams.

While attending Valley Forge, he met his wife Wendy, and upon graduation, they married in her hometown of Newport News, VA. 

After graduation, Pastor Jim served as youth pastor with the Outer Banks Worship Center in Nags Head, NC.  In 1995 he became a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God (ordained in 2010); and in 1999 he took on the challenge of revitalizing a church in Wilmington, NC as senior pastor.  His brief tenure there produced personal and spiritual growth as well as skill in playing the guitar and leading worship.

In 2002 he and his family returned to the Outer Banks of NC.  Pastor Jim then served as youth pastor and associate pastor at Ark International Church through 2008.  His knowledge and experience in worship, audio/visual production, missions and administration greatly adds to the depth and capability of our staff.
