I. God's Word leads to Faith

      A. True faith originated with God. Romans 10:17;

Genesis 12:1-3

      B. God likes to start small and use unlikely people to accomplish his plans. Romans 4:1-3

II. Faith leads to Obedience

      A. True faith means actively responding to the call and   promises of God. Genesis 12:4; James 2:14,17

      B. Faith is an expedition! Hebrews 11:8-10

The Fourfold Plan God reveals for this New Nation:
    1. God will make the nation great
    2. God will make Abram's name great
    3. God will bless all who bless Abram and curse all who curse     Abram
    4. God will bless all the nations of the world through Abram and this new nation
